Ice Hockey In Harlem Goes Canadian
Ice Hockey In Harlem is a program started 1987 that gives kids from Harlem the chance to play a game that otherwise would be impossible for them to afford. This week IHIH sent two of its star athletes to Canada to the Lower Canada College Hockey Camp to learn more about the game, practice and improve on their skills. For one week Sage Mason, 13, and Umar Khan, 14, get to practice under the coaching of former NHL players and Canadian experts while playing in a rink that is far from imaginable compared to their outdoor rink at the top of central park. You can read the full story about Sage and Umar’s trip here.
