It is 10:45 on a Tuesday morning, and Uchea Nwabuzor has just unrolled an embroidery map on the plastic folding table in her living room.
Nwabuzor, 32, is one of four designers selected to present her Spring/Summer 2012 clothing line at the Harlem’s Fashion Row group show at Jazz at Lincoln Center on Sept. 16. She secured the spot by popular vote in a contest set up by the Harlem fashion organization, which is a mix of design incubator and mentorship program.
