The long anticipated re-opening of Hamilton Grange National Memorial is upon us. This Saturday, September 17 at noon, which is Constitution Day, the National Park Service will open the Grange to the public in Harlem.
With you we will celebrate the opening of Hamilton’s ‘sweet project’ this weekend with music, living history demonstrations with re-enactors, rangers talks and lectures. You can find the full schedule of events on the Hamilton Grange Event Flyer.
The festivities begin with a rededication in the morning and re-open to the public with an afternoon celebration from noon to 5 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17. Re-enactors will portray Alexander Hamilton and the ordinary New Yorkers who were his contemporaries. There will be music, games and crafts, and other family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon. The celebration continues Sunday with a lecture series from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
We look forward to welcoming you to the ‘new’ Grange in old Harlem!
