Bruce Springsteen is headed to Harlem to perform for SiriusXM radio subscribers. The New Jersey-born rocker will hit the stage at the Apollo Theater for an exclusive concert on March 9, three days after the release of his new album “Wrecking Ball.” “Bruce’s music, now more than ever, reflects the attitudes and controversies and the personal and national conversations of our time,” SiriusXM president Scott Greenstein said in a statement. SiriusXM announced that on behalf of its employees, Springsteen and the E Street Band, the company will make a contribution to WhyHunger, an anti-poverty non-profit group. All of this is more evidence that Springsteen’s coming album is likely to have a healthy helping of social consciousness.
