The National Dance Institute will be moving into a permeant location in Harlem on at 220 West 148th St. The institute has been looking for a new permeant location for four years and they are excited to make the move from SoHo to Harlem so they can lay roots and expand. The plan for the area is as follows, $700,000 to reconstruct four of eight popular hard courts at Frederick Johnson Park in Harlem (the other four were recently redone); and $400,000 for three decrepit hard courts and two basketball courts in Howard Bennett Playground, also in Harlem.
