Already looking to leave her job as an executive assistant at a Wall Street firm, Tirzah Brown decided that she would open a kids clothing boutique in Harlem where she grew up.
As if Target and Best Buy weren’t exciting enough, now the East River Plaza (517 East 117th Street) is adding a full-service Verizon Wireless store. The new store is called an “Evolution Communications Store” because it has all the newest Verizon technologies and services including interactive product and services, kiosk check-in stations and both technical and customer service areas. The new Verizon store is located on the second floor of the East River Plaza next to Target. You can read the full release here.

Harlem is going to be the home of the very first Target retail location on Manhattan Island! No need to travel to Brooklyn or Jersey anymore for the impossible-to-beat deals and inexpensive fashion finds, we will have it all right here in our own backyard. Target (517 E. 117th Street) is set to open on July 25th and like many of the Target branches in the US the Harlem location will return 5% of their fashion sales to a local charity of the designers choice.
