Soccer players in Harlem are enjoying a brand new field, after Time Warner Cable Sports partnered with several other organizations to form “Operation Community Cup” to revitalize the field in Riverbank State Park. Members of the New York Red Bulls came out to conduct a clinic with the kids with a focus on how math and science play an important role in soccer. this story about the upcoming court projects in the city and Harlem is getting two of the three upcoming renovations. The plan for the area is as follows, $700,000 to reconstruct four of eight popular hard courts at Frederick Johnson Park in Harlem (the other four were recently redone); and $400,000 for three decrepit hard courts and two basketball courts in Howard Bennett Playground, also in Harlem.
